This new Danish / Faroese duo consists of the two musical partners in crime, William Foss & Uni Askham, who joined forces in the spring of ’22 to create OK ECHO
OK ECHO is born out of a life in lockdown and explores the melancholy, paranoia and abandonment we all had to live under in those uncertain times as well as their fight against ever encroaching conformity and the need for something bigger and their will to pursue it.
William & Uni are both children of the 90’ies and when their parents were hammering on the locked doors of their respective teenage dens, to get them to “Turn that bloody racket down!” it was ear splitting levels of grunge and the British alternative rock scene they were up against… they never stood a chance.
OK ECHO is clearly born out of this musical upbringing and is in itself an homage to the guitar-based songwriting of the 90’ies and early 00’ies, with its memorable earworm melodies and iconic choruses on a solid foundation of mountainous guitars and modern electronic elements.
This musical universe attracted the attention of British mixing engineer Chris Brown, who has worked with Radiohead, Muse & Paul McCartney and resulted in an exciting collaboration that lifting KINETIC to a whole new level.
